Mid Atlantic Arts Regional Resilience Fund Awards Over $1.59 Million to Organizations Across Region
Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation (MAAF) is pleased to announce $1,594,340 in support of 38 organizations through the Mid Atlantic Arts Regional Resilience Fund. MAAF collaborated with the five other U.S. Regional Arts Organizations - Arts Midwest, Mid-America Arts Alliance, New England Foundation for the Arts, South Arts, and the Western States Arts Federation - to form The United States Regional Arts Resilience Fund in response to the COVID-19 pandemic with generous support from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.

The MId Atlantic Arts Foundation, collaborated with the five other Regional Arts Organizations in the country to award $1,594,340 to 38 organizations from throughout the United States. The United States Regional Arts Resilience Fund, created in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, was funded through generous support from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.

The Presenter Touring Assistance Grant deadline has been extended from December 1, 2020 to February 1, 2021.
VCA is allowing for flexibility on the four-week advance application deadline for presenters. Applications from presenters must now be received at least ONE week in advance with one payment in full once the final report is received.
In order to help hard hit communities rebuild, VCA will eliminate the 30-mile radius regulation (as was done for the virtual performances) for live performances in FY21 (through June 15, 2021).
Technical Assistance grants will now be available to current FY21 VCA touring and teaching artists for equipment to record and present virtual performances as high quality recordings have become more and more important.
Nonprofit financial experts from Fiscal Management Associates review key areas nonprofits should consider focusing on and provide tools to help weather the current economic crisis.
Between mid-March and June 2020, the authors of this report interviewed or surveyed more than 160 arts leaders and field experts on the implications for the arts of COVID-19 and developments including the then-emerging racial justice movement. The arts leaders also were asked about their strategies and priorities for responding to the uncertainties of the moment.
Shining Star Awards of $10,000 apiece will be awarded in each of five regions to arts and cultural programs that enliven communities through theater, art, music and other creative outlets.
