Big News! Expanded Hours Beginning Tuesday, September 7
Wilton Library is pleased to announce that hours will be extended - just in time for the back to school season! Beginning Tuesday, September 7, library hours for in-person visits for adults and teens and at the Drive-Thru Window will be Mondays - Thursdays, 10-8, Fridays, 10-6, Saturdays, 10-5, and now Sundays, 1-5. The Children's Library hours are Mondays - Fridays, 10-6, Saturdays, 10-5, and now Sundays, 1-5.

Wilton Library Readers: Hamnet by Maggie O'Farrell

Wilton Library Readers is back! Using Zoom, professional book discussion leader Susan Boyar discusses Hamnet by Maggie O'Farrell this month. This is the first installment for this season. Remembering 9/11- For Adults and Children
This year marks the 20th anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks. There are many books focusing on this pivotal moment in U.S. history, and our discerning librarians have put together a special list of titles for both adults and children. Starting to think about college entrance exams, but not sure whether to take the SAT or ACT … or if you even need to take one at all? Join us to learn about the purpose and the differences between the two. The program is especially relevant to current sophomores, juniors and their parents; however, anyone interested is welcome to join. The College Timeline: What To Do When

When should you begin touring colleges? How many AP exams should you take? How do you start researching schools? What about SATs and ACTs? Get answers and advice on important items and a timeline for the 9th-12th grade years. This program is designed for 8th grade - high school students and their parents. Virtual Author Talk: Jonathan Santlofer - The Last Mona Lisa

The Last Mona Lisa explores the 1911 theft of the Mona Lisa from the Louvre and and the present-day underbelly of the art world. Learn more about this suspenseful, gripping novel that delves into our universal fascination with da Vinci's enigma, why people are driven to possess certain works of art, and our fascination with the authentic and the fake.

Santlofer is the author of five novels including the international bestseller The Death Artist and Anatomy of Fear, which won the Nero Wolfe Award for best crime novel of 2009. He is currently director of New York City's Crime Fiction Academy and teaches Crime Fiction Writing in Pratt Institute's Creative Writing program. Zentangle Art Workshop

Join Amy, Wilton Library's certified Zentangle instructor, as she guides us through a fun and relaxing Zentangle session. This meditative art form uses simple steps to teach practitioners how to create beautiful patterns. Our popular Awesome Autumn Book Sale Fundraiser takes place Saturday, Sept. 25 through Tuesday Sept. 28. Everyone is covered - from tots to teens in the Brubeck Room plus a full Book Cellar featuring a huge assortment of books, DVDs, CDs, vinyl, and rare and collectible items. Proceeds benefit the library. Make sure to mark your calendars and stop by!
