On Saturday night there will be the rare second October full “Blue Moon” to light up the sky for HALLOWEEN revelers. The next full Halloween moon will not occur until the year 2039!
Then, on the day prior to November Election an asteroid is targeting our planet. Astrophysicists predict that a Space Rock, the size of a refrigerator, traveling at 25K mph will hit Earth! … the good news is: asteroid is not expected to cause serious damage.
So far, 2020 has reshaped just about every holiday on the calendar. So why would Halloween be the exception? The truth is, it isn’t. We are all still very much in a mode of social distancing, of keeping our family as safe as possible and of finding some balance and normalcy in our everyday lives and how we celebrate. Thanks to local town and safety officials, each community in the greater Lake Sunapee area, has a plan for a fun (& frightful) night with a few tweaks, always focused on keeping kids safe in a pandemic while having fun.
“Trick-or-Treating” is now more like “Grab and Go”.
