Homeroom/Team Assignments

Each student is assigned a homeroom teacher.  Each homeroom is assigned to a team within the grade.  Below, please see each team and its abbreviation next to it. 

Grade 5 - Maverick - MA
Grade 5 - Millennium - MI
Grade 5 - Raptor - R
Grade 6 - All Stars - A
Grade 6 - Champions - C
Grade 6 - MVP - M
Grade 7 - Earth - E
Grade 7 - Fire - F
Grade 7 - Ice - I
Grade 8 - Gold - G
Grade 8 - Purple - P

When you log into ProgressBook, you will see your team's abbreviation on your student's schedule under Course Name.  Please note that the number indicates the homeroom class on that team.  In grades 5-7 there are 4 homerooms.  In grade 8, there are 6 homerooms on the Gold Team and 8 homerooms on the Purple Team.


Please do the following to access the schedule in Progress Book. 

Desktop Directions:
If you are accessing ProgressBook through a typical computer browser, please follow these directions. If viewing on a phone or mobile device, scroll down to the second set of instructions.
  1. Log in to Parent Access at https://pa.nccohio.org
  2. Once logged in, select the student you wish to view.
  3. Select "Schedule" from the menu on the left.
Mobile Device Directions:
If you are using a smart phone or other mobile device to access ProgressBook, the steps are similar but the screens look a little bit different.
  1. Log in to Parent Access at https://pa.nccohio.org
  2. Select the menu icon at the top left of the screen. It looks like three parallel lines.
  3. Select "Schedule" from the menu.
Finally, please know that the team coordinator for each team will be sharing homeroom specific schedules next week along with other information that will help to make for a successful start to the school year.

Important Notes:

Technology (5th, 6th, & New Students)
Please review the district's acceptable use policy and complete the required form in Gateway prior to the Chromebook pick up next week.  Review and complete the student/parent agreement below and have it with you on Tuesday, August 25.  If you have a district issued device that you borrowed in the spring, bring it with you next week as it will be exchanged for a new device.   


Chromebook/Materials Pick-up
Please follow the plan listed below to pick up materials and Chromebooks on Tuesday, August 25.  Please use the first letter of your last name and the corresponding time to pick up school materials and Chromebooks.
  • A - D, 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM
  • E - K, 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM
  • L - R, 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM
  • S - Z, 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM
Additionally, you can pick up materials from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, but we encourage you to utilize the times during the day if it works with your family and work schedules.  

When you arrive to campus, please use Driveway 1 (near the soccer field) on Ridge Road, which is the northern most entrance closest to Royalton Road.  Please follow the driveway around the back of the school, past the Athletic Entrance and playground area.  Pull to the front of the school where you will either be directed to the right or left of the cement island based on grade.  If your son or daughter is in grades 5 or 6, please pull to the right.  If your son or daughter is in grades 7 or 8, please pull to the left.  If you have children in multiple grades, please pull to the right and use the lane for students in grades 5 and 6.  After you receive your materials, please use exit 2 to leave campus. 

WEB
Our 8th grade WEB leaders have put together a few thoughts and words of encouragement for our 5th grade students.  Please click here to view that video.  Additionally, please know that all  5th grade students should receive their WEB phone call by Monday.

Open House
Our remote open house is scheduled on Wednesday, August 26 for students in grades 7 and 8 and on Thursday, August 27 for students in grades 5 and 6.  We will communicate more information about our remote open house structure next week both through a Constant Contact email and a team email.

Soft Opening
Students will be able to access their Google Sites and Classrooms on Friday, August 28 through a remote soft opening.  The purpose of this event is for students to move through their day in an abbreviated version to ensure that they can access Google Sites, Classrooms, Meets, and Zooms.
