Celebrate CV is Back!
Join us for the return of everyone's favorite event. This hands-on, interactive celebration of all things CV will be held at the HS Commons on April 21 from 6-8 pm. Visit www.cvsd.net for more info!

Ukrainian Crisis Relief Campaign
The Interact Club is sponsoring a donation center in each school for emergency items. These boxes can be found outside the main office in each building. Detailed information can be found through Peachjar.

Kindergarten Registration for Fall 2022
Kindergarten registration for Fall 2022 is now open. All school-aged children residing within the Chartiers Valley School District, including students who attend private, parochial, placement, and charter schools, must register with the District registrar. Children turning 5-years-old on or before September 1 are eligible to attend Kindergarten in the fall. For more information, including the complete registration packet and list of required documents, visit the registration page on the District website.

Below are the building-specific updates. As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.

Primary School
  • Save the Date: If you are interested in your child participating in the Primary School field trips, they will be held on the following dates. If you want your child to attend the grade level field trip, please contact Marc Hubert at mhubert@cvsd.net no later than April 7.
  • Kindergarten: April 19 or 20 to Spring House Farms
  • First Grade: May 20 or 25 to Soergel's Orchard
  • Second Grade: April 26 or 27 to Meadowcroft
  • Attention incoming 3rd graders (Current 2nd graders): Are you interested in playing a musical instrument in the orchestra? Click here for orchestra information and the sign-up link. 

Intermediate School
  • Save the Date: If you are interested in your child participating in the Intermediate School field trips, they will be held on the following dates. If you want your child to attend the grade level field trip, please contact Marc Hubert at mhubert@cvsd.net no later than April 14.
  • Third Grade: May 6, 12, or 13 to Snapology
  • Fourth Grade: May 9, 10, or 11 to Snapology
  • Fifth Grade: May 18 to Camp Guyasuta
  • Attention 5th Graders: The fifth grade picnic will be held on May 25 at Scott Park. Mark your calendar and information will be shared in early May about the event.
  • Attention incoming 4th and 5th graders: Are you interested in playing a musical instrument in the band? Check out this flyer with more information and to sign-up.
  • Attention incoming 3rd, 4th and 5th graders: Are you interested in playing a musical instrument in the orchestra? Click here for orchestra information and the sign-up link. 
  • PSSA Exams: Please mark your calendar for the following in-person PSSA Exams. More information will be provided closer to the dates.
  • English-Language Arts - April 25, 26, and 27
  • Math - May 2 and 3
  • Science (4th grade only) - May 5 and 6

Middle School
  • PSSA Exams: Please mark your calendar for the following in-person PSSA Exams. The Middle School did send an email in regards to PSSA testing this past week. If you have questions, please reach out to Mr. DePace or Mr. Swift at 412-429-2223.
  • English-Language Arts - April 26, 27, and 28
  • Math - May 3 and 4
  • Science (8th grade only) - May 9 and 10

High School
  • April Issue - Information about clubs and activities can be found by clicking here.
  • ATTENTION SENIORS - Don't miss out on these local scholarships from your community and supporters! Scholarships are open to any graduating CV Senior planning to further their education through a 4 year, 2 year/Associate Degree or certified trade school. All eligible students are encouraged to apply. http://cveducation.org/scholarships/. The deadline is March 31, 2022.
  • Keystone Exams: Please mark your calendars for the following in-person Keystone Exams. More information will be provided closer to the date.
  • Algebra - May 16 and 17
  • Biology - May 18 and 19
  • Literature - May 23 and 24
  • It is almost time for the Prom! Tickets will be on sale April 1-April 15. Stay tuned for a link to buy them online.
  • Seniors - Orders are now due for caps and gowns! If you have not done so, please turn in your order to Mrs. Doherty in the Main Office.

Chartiers Valley School District is offering FREE breakfast and FREE lunch to every student, every school day. More information.


From the Athletic Office
Click here to view the flyer for events season tickets. This pass is good for all contests for the 2021-2022 school year. Student tickets will also be sold for $3 per contest at home games.

Please remember that students younger than high school age must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of all District events and athletic competitions. This includes Friday night football games.
