Hymn of Praise
God of Grace and God of Glory
#577, v. 1, 2, 4
God of grace and God of glory,
 on thy people pour thy power;
crown thine ancient church’s story;
 bring her bud to glorious flower.
Grant us wisdom, grant us courage,
 for the facing of this hour, (of this hour)
 for the facing of this hour.

Lo! the hosts of evil round us
 scorn thy Christ, assail his ways!
Fears and doubts too long have bound us;
 free our hearts to work and praise.
Grant us wisdom, grant us courage,
 for the living of these days, (of these days)
 for the living of these days.

Save us from weak resignation
 to the evils we deplore;
let the search for thy salvation
 be our glory evermore.
Grant us wisdom, grant us courage,
 serving thee whom we adore, (we adore) serving thee whom we adore.

Prayer of Intercession

Prayer of Confession
Ever-present God, in a time of uncertainty and angst, we are thankful for the steady and solid foundation you provide. In the quietness of worship, we quickly recognize your guidance and strength is what navigates us through the challenges and chaos of our lives. Still, we often struggle to recognize your Son for who he truly is: our Savior and Lord. Forgive us for our misguided ideas about who you are and what you will for us. Through your Spirit, reveal your vision for us, such that we are formed and strengthened into Christ’s church, ready to extend the kingdom of heaven to this hurting and broken world. Amen.

Jesus Messiah
He became sin, who knew no sin;
 That we might become
 His righteousness
He humbled Himself
 And carried the cross
Love so amazing, love so amazing

Jesus Messiah Name above all names
 Blessed Redeemer, Emmanuel
The Rescue for sinners
 The Ransom from heaven
 Jesus Messiah, Lord of all

His body the bread
 His blood the wine
 Broken and poured out
 all for love
The whole earth trembled
 and the veil was torn
 Love so amazing,
 love so amazing

Jesus Messiah Name above all names
 Blessed Redeemer, Emmanuel
The Rescue for sinners
 The Ransom from heaven
 Jesus Messiah, Lord of all

All our hope is in You
 All our hope is in You
All the glory to You, God
 The Light of the world

Jesus Messiah Name above all names
 Blessed Redeemer, Emmanuel
The Rescue for sinners
 The Ransom from heaven
 Jesus Messiah, Lord of all

Jesus Messiah
 Lord of all
 The Lord of all
 The Lord of all

Hymn
The Church’s One Foundation
# 545, v. 1, 2, 5
The church’s one foundation
 is Jesus Christ her Lord;
She is his new creation by
 water and the Word.
From heaven he came and sought her to
 be his holy bride;
With his own blood he bought her,
 and for her life he died.

Elect from every nation,
 yet one o’er all the earth;
Her charter of salvation,
 one Lord, one faith, one birth;
One holy name she blesses,
 partakes one holy food,
And to one hope she presses,
 with every grace endued.

Yet she on earth hath union
 with God the Three in One,
And mystic sweet communion
 with those whose rest is won.
O happy ones and holy!
 Lord, give us grace that we
Like them, the meek and lowly,
 on high may dwell with thee.
