Bill C-22 - Inclusion Canada EVP Krista Carr appears at Parliamentary Committee studying the legislation to create the Canada Disability Benefit

On Wednesday, November 16th, Inclusion Canada Executive Vice President Krista Carr appeared before the Standing Committee on Human Resources, Skills and Social Development and the Status of Persons with Disabilities (HUMA) to advocate for the expedited passing of Bill C-22. Passing the bill before the end of the current parliamentary session will ensure that people with disabilities have access to the Canada Disability Benefit as soon as possible. Currently, the Bill is being considered by the HUMA committee.

Inclusion Canada and other disability allies have been advocating tirelessly to expedite Bill C-22 through the committee stage. We have recently submitted a brief to the committee to consider in its study of Bill C-22, the foundational legislation to create the proposed Canada Disability Benefit.
