Dr. David Traver:  Zebrafish Laureate

David Traver, Ph.D.,  has accomplished much in his fifteen years in the field of zebrafish research, but he is not content to rest on his laurels.  Recently the recipient of a LLS Career Development Program grant, Dr. Traver continues to pursue valuable research in haematopoiesis and immunity using the zebrafish as a model.

Zebrafish:  The Next Generation

Congratulations to the winner of the eRack Giveaway, Port Washington High School!

Located in southeastern Wisconsin, Port Washington High School is embarking on an exciting expansion of their STEM curriculum. PWHS is in an enviable location, with proximity to Milwaukee, Lake Michigan, Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE), Concordia University Wisconsin (CUW), and interactive science museums and nature centers.

Its location has given PWHS the opportunity to partner with CUW to offer Advanced Placement Environmental Science in 2017 and with MSOE for its Project Lead The Way (PLTW) program in Biomedical Sciences. Port Washington High School's new Aquaneering eRack will be an integral part of the PLTW program as students research heart and genetic diseases and other conditions using the zebrafish as their disease model.
