Mandatory Sexual Harassment Training
The Department of Fair Employment and Housing provides free online training courses on preventing sexual harassment and abusive conduct in the workplace.

California law requires all employers of 5 or more employees to provide 1 hour of sexual harassment and abusive conduct prevention training to nonsupervisory employees and 2 hours of sexual harassment and abusive conduct prevention training to supervisors and managers once every two years. The law requires the training to include practical examples of harassment based on gender identity, gender expression, and sexual orientation.

Child Care Resources for Essential Workers
The California Child Care Resource & Referral Network has created a document of resources to assist essential workers in finding and paying for available child care during the COVID-19 crisis.

Please share with your family and friends! The document also contains information for child care providers, those looking for work and organizations interested in providing emergency temporary child care.

The Governor of California

The order prompted a lot of questions about its scope, criteria and implementation.

Guidelines for Making Sure Water is Safe When Reopening Buildings
The Regional Water Authority has put together a fact sheet of best practices for water safety.

According to the CDC, stagnant or standing water in buildings after a prolonged shutdown can cause conditions that increase the risk for growth and spread of Legionella and other biofilm-associated bacteria. Stagnant water can also lead to low or undetectable levels of disinfectant, such as chlorine, which can result in the growth of harmful pathogens and microorganisms.
