GENERAL
FEED THE STUDENTS
Now through winter break, the cafeteria is offering curbside pickup for a FREE breakfast and lunch every school day from 7:30 am to 1:00 pm. Come to the Gate 3 entrance before Basswood where the line forms outside the gym. This program is open to any student 18 and under and recipients do not need to be enrolled in PVPUSD. No pre-order required. All meals include an entrée, choice of milk and seasonal fruit and vegetables. Menus are at pvpusdschoolnutrition.net.

AP EXAM REGISTRATION  
AP examination forms and payments will be collected next week during a drive-thru, drop-off event from Monday, Oct. 19 to Friday, Oct. 23 ONLY. Bring your completed form, payment and school ID card. Fill out only one form no matter how many exams you are taking and write one check or exact change cash for all the exams you are taking. Checks must be made out to PVPHS AP with the student's name in the memo line and do not staple the payment to the form. The fee is $100 per exam; AP Seminar is $150. If you fail to make the drop off, there is a $50 late fee per test. Forms and payments will not be accepted early, only at the drop off. The drop off schedule is as follows:

Applications for the TriM (Modern Music Masters) National Honor Society are being accepted now through Friday, Oct. 23.

COUNSELING
STUDENT TUTORS NEEDED
You can help PVPUSD students with their academic hurdles and earn money at the same time. Fill out the form on the Counseling page of Pen's website. There will be a tutor list here at Pen and it will also be provided to other District schools.
 
COLLEGE CAREER CENTER
COLLEGE KNOWLEDGE SERIES CONTINUES
The 2020 Virtual College Knowledge series continues TOMORROW, October 20 at 6:30 pm with representatives from El Camino College who will explain about the opportunities and advantages of a two year community college experience and the priority transfer college option as well as the South Bay Promise. Seniors through freshmen are encouraged to attend with their parents. Registration is required and may be done here.
 
VIRTUAL COLLEGE REP VISITS
The CCC has scheduled virtual college visits through November. Two to three schools will be combined per visit and PVPHS students are expected to have cameras on during the entire event. You must register on Naviance 24 hours before the event in order to attend. Included in this week's 29 rep visits are: Pace University; Boston College; Cal Lutheran; Iowa State; University of New Mexico; Soka; Johns Hopkins; Northern Arizona; Grinnel; Michigan State; University of Utah and more.
