Sunday Service Time Change!

We have decided to go back to having ONE Sunday service beginning this Sunday, July 19th at 10:00 AM. You do not need to pre-register. We look forward to seeing you.

Nursery & Great Adventure will be offered during the service for children up to grade 5.

Our 10:00 service will be live streamed on Facebook Live and on YouTube , with the countdown beginning at 9:58 AM. Replay of the service will be available anytime after the livestream ends.

Your safety and well being are our primary concern - so here are some things you need to know about attending in person this week.

Entering the building
  1. Entrance to the building will be closed until 15 minutes prior to the start of the service.
  2. A volunteer will ask you to self screen before you enter the building. If you are experiencing two or more symptoms associated with COVID-19 we kindly ask that you not attend service until you are feeling better.
  3. We encourage you to wear a community mask. If there is a reason why you cannot, we will understand. If you forget to bring your community mask, we will have a few available for $10 each. Proceeds will help with Food Insecurity (Boaz Ministries).
  4. A volunteer inside the entrance will ask you to use hand sanitizer as soon as you are inside the building, you will be asked to sign-in giving your name and phone number, and then proceed directly to the auditorium or to children's check-in.

Entering the Auditorium
  1. A host will meet you at the entrance to the auditorium to explain the ushering process and social distancing requirements.
  2. A volunteer will help guide you to your preferred row in the auditorium. However, we will need to fill rows from one end to the other.

Offering
We will no longer be passing the offering plate during the service. An offering box is available just inside the auditorium door if you wish to donate by cash or cheque. A huge thank you to Wayne Harris for building the offering box for us. We absolutely love it.

The debit machine will be available at the welcome desk prior to the service. Debit, Visa, Mastercard & Amex cards accepted.

Online Giving is available 24 hours a day. See details below.
Who Are You Inviting To Church This Sunday?

We are doing all we can to keep you, your family and friends safe and healthy.
Here are a few Non-Perishable items that are needed at The Drive Baptist Church Food Bank (Sharing Hands). Donations can be dropped off at MBC or at the Drive Baptist Church. Thank you for loving our community.

Personal Hygiene Products: toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, soap, shampoo, body wash, dish detergent & feminine products.

Groceries: canned vegetables, canned fruit, canned milk, bottles of apple juice & tea bags.
Are you interested in giving to the Benevolent Fund?

Donations can be given at anytime. If giving online or by envelope please clearly indicate it is for the "Benevolent Fund".

Loose offering in the offering plate that is not put in an envelope on the first Sunday of each month ($5, $10 & $20 bills and loose change) will be given to the Benevolent Fund.

Half of all Benevolent Fund donations will be given to "Sharing Hands, The Food and Clothing Bank located at The Drive Baptist Church". The other half is used by MBC in loving our city in practical ways.
Weekly Newsletter

We will no longer be providing a weekly printed newsletter for attenders on Sundays. Because of COVID-19 precautions we have decided to publish only the online version of our weekly newsletter. It will be sent out weekly by e-mail and posted on our MBC Facebook Page. If you know of someone who would like to be on our email list, please contact Pastor Jason. We encourage you to share our Facebook Page with family and friends.
Volunteers Needed

Volunteering is one of the best ways to feel connected at MBC, and we need you now more than ever. New COVID-19 measures have provided us with a number of new volunteering opportunities. You will not be expected to serve every week. You will be scheduled as you are needed. Here are some of the ways you can serve:

  1. Greeters at the entrance on Sundays - See Pastor Jason
  2. Mow and trim around the property - See Betty MacWilliam
  3. If you are interested in learning how to use the sound board and mixing, learn to work visual presentation for services (slides), and help with live stream - see Pastor Joel. No experience needed. We will teach you.
  4. Are there other ways you would be willing to serve? Speak to one of our Pastors.
