This newsletter offers a peek into the experiential, creative, and joyful

moments captured on the Crane campus over the course of a week.

Around Campus

Lower School

(kindergarten - fifth grade)

The Kindergarten Community Unit

Ask any staff member or administrator and you'll discover that is their favorite time of year! Why? Because kindergarten reporters are busy roaming the campus to find out what other members of the Crane community do. They are becoming very proficient interviewers. Here are some of their favorite questions to ask:

What do you do? What is your favorite thing about what you do?

What tools do you use? How do you use them?

Who do you work with?

How long have you been at Crane?

What is your favorite color?

What is your favorite food?

What is your favorite place?

Also, how old are you!?!

Upper School

(sixth - eighth grade)

Upper School students continued to build community within their advisory groups as they participated in a gingerbread house competition. Utilizing project management and teamwork skills, they created a festive gingerbread house neighborhood.

Crane Values in Action

Our individual experiences wouldn’t be possible without the collective, and an inclusive culture is a shared responsibility. Together, we ensure that every voice is heard, and that students and adults not only feel included, but that they express a strong sense of belonging as part of their experience in this community.

The Coyote Cares elective lent a hand to the Santa Barbara community by wrapping gifts to support a family from Mother's Helpers.
