The Community Based Public Health Caucus is planning a variety of scientific sessions, and a special Pre-APHA events in partnership with the Morehouse School of Medicine-Prevention Research Center and the Community Campus Partnerships for Health (CCPH).
This pre-APHA event, Writing & Dissemination Institute (WDI), will be held on Saturday, November 4 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and is designed to build the capacity of community and academics to engage in equitable writing, publication and social media practices. Also, on
Saturday November 4 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. we are holding our annual "Community Reception" happening on the Morehouse campus and supported by National Community-Based Organization Network (NCBON), Community-Based Public Health Caucus, Morehouse School of Medicine's Prevention Research Center, and Community-Campus Partnerships for Heath.

We are pleased to invite all CBPHC members to the APHA book launch for the third edition of
CBPR for Health: Advancing Social and Health Equity (editors: Wallerstein, Duran, Oetzel and Minkler). Come join us for refreshments and conversation at the Wiley and Son's Publisher's booth at 4 pm on Monday, November 6
th. The Wiley Booth Number is 1422/1424 in the Georgia World Congress Center.

APHA's Health Administration Section is excited to pilot our first mentoring roundtable session in Atlanta! Please feel free to pass on this information with any students or early-career professionals that you know are attending the Annual Meeting. It will be held on:
Tuesday, November 7th
8:30am - 10:00am
Cottonwood B, Rm 4034.0, The Omni
The session will begin with a panel, followed by two or three rotations for attendees to meet with the mentors that they are most interested in speaking to. There will also be some time for general networking at the end.
We'd appreciate it if potential attendees filled out a quick sign-up sheet. This is not required for attendance, but it helps us estimate how many people to expect. If you have any further questions, please feel free to reach out to sonialee518@gmail.com.

Want to help support the vision of the CBPH Caucus--and enjoy some practical benefits at the same time? If so, then please consider joining the Caucus or renewing your membership if it has expired. A regular membership is $25; a student membership is $5; and organizations can sign up three people for $66. Caucus membership benefits are as follows:
Informative group emails;
Invitations to participate in the CBPH Caucus Annual Business Meeting at APHA;
Can serve as volunteers and as active members of committees and networks;
Eligible to be nominated for leadership positions;
Can apply for travel scholarship funding, if available.
