Gather and Rejoice!

The theme throughout the Diocese of Orange for this weekend is “Gather and Rejoice” as all parishes are getting back to life, all liturgies are now in the parish churches, and many of our parishioners are returning to celebrate Mass. This is a weekend for each one of us to reach out to others, meet some new parishioners or get reacquainted after our separation, and to welcome those who might be new to our parish.

The responsorial psalm for this weekend speaks clearly about the festive nature of this weekend: “Lord, it is good to give thanks to You” (Psalm 92) and certainly we do!

The Shrine to Mary, the Mother of God and the Mother of the Church

The Shrine to Mary has been reimagined and made worthy for personal prayer and devotion. Through the artistic and technical skills of some parishioners, the volunteer labor of other parishioners, the underwriting by five parishioners, and be beautiful faux painting by the renowned artist Lisa Bryant, the Shrine to Mary is now complete. As you see from the before and after photos, we have further enhanced the simple beauty of our Church. The phrase “My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord” is taken from Mary’s prayer (the Magnificat) which she prayed while visiting her cousin Elizabeth (Luke 1:46).
Exposition and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament to resume

Exposition and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will resume on Monday, June 14 and will be available in the Holy Family Blessed Sacrament Chapel Mondays-Saturdays, from 9am-5pm. Please come and pray for the holiness of the people of God in our diocese, and for vocations to the priesthood, the diaconate, and the religious life. (Sometime later this month, we will have to close the chapel for 3 days for the carpeting to be changed; when we know the date, we will let you know). Please come and pray…and bring others with you as well.

Msgr. John Urell
ATTENTION
The 9am Mass on Sunday morning will be livestreamed each week. If for any reason whatever, you, your family, and your children do not wish to possibly be seen on camera, it is suggested that you attend another Mass.
Email and Text Scam Alert

Seems that some folks are now using text scam to try to get money from you…or a return phone call from you to a bogus number claiming to be Msgr. John’s number….this happened to a good number of parishioners this past week. This is in addition to the fake email scams that are happening as well. Please be on alert for these scam. Always call the parish phone number 949-249- 4091 if needed for clarification.
