Tonga Mission Trip

MVA students and volunteers will help renovate bathrooms in the girls' dormitory. The students will have the opportunity to experience a meaningful service to others and a chance to learn about other cultures.

Ask teachers how you can help after school to earn community service hours.

According to the Student Handbook, twenty-five (25) clock hours of unremunerated community service per year of attendance at a Pacific Union Conference secondary school are required.
Volunteers Needed!

Home, School and Church (MVA’s PTA) is looking for volunteers, especially those with larger seating capacity mini-vans and SUVs, to help with future events including driving students to off-campus school events. If you are interested in helping or are willing to loan your vehicle to be used, please contact HS&C at homeschoolchurch@mountainviewacademy.org .  

A reminder that **ALL** volunteers must complete the Sterling on line training and background check and if you are wanting to drive any students other than your own in your private vehicle, you **MUST** have the following 5 items into the MVA office at least one day **BEFORE** the event so you can be verified! 
  1. Sterling on line training and background check (expires after 3 years) - Attached are the instructions for the online training (first time user) which takes about an hour to complete.
  2. MVA & CCC insurance verification/volunteer form, 2 pages (required to fill out every year) - attached below
  3. Copy of your valid Driver’s License
  4. Copy of your valid auto insurance card
  5. Copy of insurance declaration page [see #2 for minimum amounts required]

COVID-19 Update

Everyone must continue to wear a mask indoor/outdoor regardless of vaccination status.
The students will have to check in daily as soon as they arrive at the school.
A check-in station is set up by the main office.

Each student is given an ID to wear at all times.
These on-campus IDs must be turned in to the teacher at the end of the student’s last period.
The IDs are sanitized before they are given back to the students the next day.

The classrooms are set up with desks three feet apart from each other and facing the same way towards the front of the room.
