Bridging Service
Live on Zoom with DL and Lee

Please join us this Sunday to celebrate the kids and youth of our congregation who are moving up and moving on! We will be honoring the kids who are moving up to a new school in the fall, as well as two youth who have graduated from high school. Help us send them off with blessings and love.

  • Coffee hour follows directly after the service at the same Zoom link.

Moving On: A Talk with Hippo about Change

Lee and Hippo talk about changes in our congregation. We talk about DL leaving and practice some EMF tapping and "bee breath" to help us move through sadness and feel more grounded. Then we talk about the kids who are bridging and how sometimes change is exciting!

  • No in-person gathering this week. Come to our bridging service at 10am!
Designated collections received by check or online the first week of June
Spiritual Enrichment
June's theme is Play
A spiritual exercise for this week is to find different ways to play: not just board games, but a way of being in the world. The link below has many examples for inspiration.

And a squirrel obstacle course for your viewing pleasure.

Board News
Update from the President...

On Monday, May 31, the Board and Rev. DL met with representatives from the UUA on a Zoom call to discuss the "Agreement for Ministry Separation" concerning the end of DL's ministry with UUCSC. It was a very productive meeting; final details are being worked on via email.

Saying Goodbye...

As part of Rev. DL’s departure from UUCSC, they and the Board have agreed that some in-person opportunities to say goodbye would be helpful.

We have arranged several such possibilities, listed below. We hope you might stop by for a hug and some gratitudes for our 5 years together.
Wed, June 9, noon gathering, Carla and Dennis Bowman’s home (for Green Hill and Charlestown area folks)
Wed, June 9, 5pm, Jean Bowen’s Home (for those in Wakefield and environs)
Wed, June 16, 4:30pm - Tuckertown Park with Lee Cowan, DRE, also; Goodbye to RE families
Friday, June 18, 12:30, Linda and Ed Whyte Burrell’s home (for those Exeter and Hope Valley folks).
This is only suggested guidance. Attend the one that works best for you. And bring a chair to sit on, please.
With love,
Rev. DL and the UUCSC Board
A Milestone Noted
UUCSC News and Updates, delivered to your inbox on Friday mornings is one year old today! The Communications Committee thanks you for your willingness and patience in accepting this digital method of pushing out information from staff, volunteers, and community partners to the congregation and beyond. Special thanks to all who have contributed to this effort, particularly staff members Rev. DL and DRE Lee, President Natalie and the Board of Directors, committee chairs and congregants. Let's keep the communications flowing, and may we continue to evolve to strengthen our personal, spiritual, and worldly connections.
