Flu season has started early at Georgetown. Getting vaccinated can help you protect yourself and others. Georgetown is partnering with LabCorp to offer several free flu vaccination clinics for students, faculty and staff. Two clinics are offered next week – Monday, Oct. 4, and Wednesday, Oct. 6. The student-led HOYA Clinic announces its IronMed 5k Race (previously the IronMed Triathlon) will be held Sunday October 24, 2021 at 9am at Fletcher’s Cove Boathouse with in-person and virtual race options. IronMed is the largest fundraising event for HOYA Clinic.

Managing at Georgetown is a foundational program that offers information on Human Resources and University policies and procedures, discusses strategies for managing employees, and highlights key leadership and communication skills. Managing at Georgetown will be offered this fall in a virtual learning capacity. Interested GUMC participants can sign up for Cohort 11 or Cohort 12. The Gender+ Justice Initiative is accepting fellowship applications from faculty, graduate and undergraduate students. The fellowships are designed to support interdisciplinary work related to intersectional issues of gender, racial and economic justice. Applications are due October 10. A new university-wide Collaborative on Global Children’s Issues designed to foster cross-disciplinary research and dialogue on critical and emerging global children's issues launched recently. The new initiative aims to generate a network among scholars, students, policymakers, practitioners and other stakeholders to maximize critical thinking and advance solutions-oriented problem-solving on the most pressing issues facing children worldwide.
