Pavement Management systems have been designed to provide information on the functional and structural condition of roads so that road owners can offer a smooth and safe ride to road users at the lowest possible cost. They also provide reliable information to decision makers about the condition of the road network for maintenance and rehabilitation planning and funding.
 
The goal of the on-line training workshop will be to help those working with P avement Management S ystems better understand the damage mechanisms that affect the lifetime of paved and gravel road networks and how they can be monitored with different technologies. Theoretical and practical examples will be given on how organizations adopt more economical proactive maintenance policies.
 
The lectures will be taught over a three week period with live 1.5 hour on-line sessions held on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of each week. Upon completion of the training program, the IRF will administer an on-line knowledge test. Participants with a score of 80% of the exam will be awarded with a certificate verifying their successful completion of the course.

Transportation agencies are in increasing need of additional tools to expand capacity utilization of the highways, roadways and public transport under their management. This on-line workshop will provide a basic overview of project finance theory and a technical review of some of the basic techniques used for the delivery and management of transportation infrastructure projects. Delegates will explore project financial modelling and the inputs and risk associated with such models. The course leans toward the public or owner view although all stakeholder perspectives are incorporated into the course material. The course is ideal for delegates that are new to project finance and PPPs.The lectures will be taught over a 4 week period with live 1 hour on-line sessions held on Tuesdays & Thursdays each week.

Upon completion of the training program, the IRF will administer an on-line knowledge test. Participants with a score of 70% of the exam will be awarded with a certificate verifying their successful completion of the course.

The purpose of this training program is to help participants to understand what can be done to reduce the number of road crashes and the number of fatalities and serious injuries from road crashes that may still occur.
