Pavement Management systems have been designed to provide information on the functional and structural condition of roads so that road owners can offer a smooth and safe ride to road users at the lowest possible cost. They also provide reliable information to decision makers about the condition of the road network for maintenance and rehabilitation planning and funding.
The goal of the on-line training workshop will be to help those working with P

better understand the damage mechanisms that affect the lifetime of paved and gravel road networks and how they can be monitored with different technologies. Theoretical and practical examples will be given on how organizations adopt more economical proactive maintenance policies.
The lectures will be taught over a three week period with live 1.5 hour on-line sessions held on Monday,
Tuesday, and Wednesday of each week. Upon completion of the training program, the IRF will administer an on-line knowledge test. Participants with a score of 80% of the exam will be awarded with a certificate verifying their successful completion of the course.

Transportation agencies are in increasing need of additional tools to expand capacity utilization of the highways, roadways and public transport under their management. ITS offers the promise of this increased capacity with compelling benefit/cost ratios, and demonstrated contributions to sustainable development objectives.
In order to fully achieve these benefits and leverage ITS investments, and prepare for the rapid shifts in the vehicle fleet, it is critical for managers and planners to have a firm grasp of standards, systems architecture, lifecycle management ("designing for maintenance"), as well as best practices in the field of fully adaptive traffic management & control systems ("cooperative ITS").

This on-line workshop will provide a basic overview of project finance theory and a technical review of some of the basic techniques used for the delivery and management of transportation infrastructure projects. Delegates will explore project financial modelling and the inputs and risk associated with such models. The course leans toward the public or owner view although all stakeholder perspectives are incorporated into the course material. The course is ideal for delegates that are new to project finance and PPPs.The lectures will be taught over a 4 week period with live 1 hour on-line sessions held on Tuesdays & Thursdays each week.
Upon completion of the training program, the IRF will administer an on-line knowledge test. Participants with a score of 70% of the exam will be awarded with a certificate verifying their successful completion of the course.

Professional Development Hours
This on-line training workshop will cover the main technical issues regarding Bridge Management, Inspection and Maintenance. The contents will be based on international standards as well as the hands-on experience of the course instructors. The workshop is addressed at highway agency executives and private sector contractors. The topics of the workshop go from the basic knowledge of bridges and their main characteristics, to the visual inspection activities, until the most up-to-date concepts of Bridge Asset Management.
Upon completion of the training program, the IRF will administer an on-line knowledge test. Participants with a score of 80% of the exam will be awarded with a certificate verifying their successful completion of the course.

The International Road Federation (IRF) On-line Safe Roads by Design™: Making Roads Safe for all Users certified training program is one of the most comprehensive on-line road safety training programs in the world. Experts in the field will present best practices and state of the art technologies in Roadside Safety, Work Zone Safety, Vulnerable User Safety, Traffic Management and Road Safety Audits over a three week period. The purpose of this training program is to help participants to understand what can be done to reduce the number of road crashes and the number of fatalities and serious injuries from road crashes that may still occur.
Upon completion of the training program, the IRF will administer a proctored on-line test. Participants with a score of 80% of the exam will be awarded with a certificate verifying their successful completion of the course.

The contents will be based on international practitioner handbooks as well as the hands-on experience of the course instructors. The workshop will teach the most relevant best practices as they relate to strategic asset management, tactical & technical asset management planning and operational asset management & service delivery.
Upon completion of the training program, the IRF will administer a proctored on-line test. Participants with a score of 80% of the exam will be awarded with a certificate verifying their successful completion of the course.
