A world of equality, fairness and human decency.
“I hope that you will gain some consolation from the fact that in your struggle for freedom and a true Christian community you have cosmic companionship. God grant that this tragic midnight of man’s inhumanity to man will soon pass and the bright daybreak of freedom and brotherhood will come into being.” - Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. to farmer and biblical scholar Clarence Jordan, whose interracial community farm grew to become Habitat for Humanity in the 1950s.

We still await that daybreak. While much has been done, so much more work remains. This will never be a world of equality, of fairness or of human decency that leaves no room for poverty, prejudice or violence, unless we build it.

Join Habitat in putting God's love into action and pledging to make Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s vision of a Beloved Community of justice, equal opportunity and love of fellow human beings a reality, by clicking here.

Cars for Homes
Did you know you can support Habitat for Humanity's mission by donating your old car, truck, motorcycle, RV, boat, farm equipment, snowmobile, or construction equipment?

Habitat for Humanity of Denton County benefits greatly from the Cars for Homes program. The funding from your car donations helps us afford to build homes for families in need every year. In fact, Habitat Denton is fast approaching the first $100K milestone in revenue from car donations. Habitat Denton has received $79,153.03 total in unrestricted revenue from Cars for Homes, including $14,849.30 so far in FY21 alone. Life-to-date, 61 Texas affiliates have received a total of $1,812,838.06 in unrestricted revenue from Cars for Homes. That's almost $2 million! For the past four months, Habitat has been receiving an average of 400 vehicles a week, creating a healthy inventory of more than 1700 vehicles.
Seeking to put God's love into action, Habitat for Humanity of Denton County brings people together to build homes, communities and hope.
