The Gospel & Race
What does the Gospel have to say about Race? Andy explores this topic in a 2 part series. If you haven't gotten a chance to listen to this sermon series, click the links below:
Racial Reconciliation & Our Association of Churches
Nearly 150 of us gathered to hear from Wayne Stapleton, VP of Racial Righteousness, and his close friend Pastor Norflette Shumake as they spoke from deeply personal experiences about the need for racial righteousness in our lives, our communities, and our churches. Wayne and Norflette shared from their hearts and encouraged and challenged us to continue to engage in difficult discussions over issues of race. In case you missed the hour of discussion and Q&A, or you want to watch it again or share with others, you can find a recording of the webinar below.

COMMUNITY RESOURCE OF THE MONTH
The Color of Compromise
Tisby provides a unique survey of American Christianity's racial past, revealing the concrete and chilling ways people of faith have worked against racial justice. Understanding our racial history sets the stage for solutions, but until we understand the depth of the malady we won't fully embrace the aggressive treatment it requires. Given the centuries of Christian compromise with bigotry, believers today must be prepared to tear down old structures and build up new ones. This video study provides an in-depth diagnosis for a racially divided American church and suggests ways to foster a more equitable and inclusive environment among God's people.

BOYS & GIRLS BIBLE STUDIES ONLINE
  • Boys (Morning)
  • Girls (Evening)
  • ZOOM Bible Studies happening on Mondays through the end of June for current youth groupers

WEDNESDAYS 6:00-7:30pm
Although there are some regulations that allow meeting in-person indoors, we have made the decision to run our youth group times outdoors through the end of July, as many students and parents have communicated that this would be the most comfortable scenario for all. If we make changes to this commitment, we will communicate our plans to you. We will meet at our normal time (6 to 7:30p on Wednesday Evenings) and take advantage of our access to the top field at Hart Park, as well as our shaded skatepark area in the back parking lot. Students will be encouraged to bring their own chair and we will plan and run youth group games, worship, lessons, etc. with a 6+ foot social distance in mind, as well as other safety precautions (if you’d like more information, please email me separately). Some important things to note: 1) we will be planning fun activities and games that maintain a level of distancing & 2) we will not be serving any food or drinks that are not pre-packaged during this time.
