Welcome back to another edition of the Home Visiting Central Intake Bulletin! This email will provide you with Help Me Grow Central Intake data and updates relevant to Home Visiting so you are informed and prepared to serve families.

SFY22 Second Quarter Referral Data

(October-December 2021)

Central Intake and Referral (CIR) processed 9,569 system referrals in the second quarter. A referral breakdown is below:

Caregivers (8%);
HEA8045 forms (11.6%) submitted by Home Visiting providers, as well as WIC offices, and other community agencies;
Medical professionals (13.4%);
Non-medical community (51.6%) including WIC, community agencies, county agencies, and electronic Pregnancy Risk Assessment Form (e-PRAF) referrals; and
Public Children Service Agency (PCSA) 8021 forms (15.4%) submitted by children’s services agencies.

There were a total of 3,517 referrals accepting Home Visiting services during the second quarter. Of those, about 57 percent were for pregnant women, and 46 percent of those women were first-time moms.

CIR made 434 referrals to Pathway HUBs during the second quarter in 36 counties. The HUB pilot will conclude March 2022.

Outreach and Marketing

Statewide outreach included more than 3,420 activities in the second quarter.

In-person outreach was limited as the omicron variant of COVID-19 spread during the holiday season. However, outreach was able to attend 81 local, regional, and statewide events and held 282 presentations and meetings (both in-person and virtually) with current and potential referral sources during the second quarter. Staff also mailed letters and program information to local food pantries, churches, and toy drives; and made follow-up calls to ensure delivery.

Digital advertising continued during the second quarter in MIECHV (Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting) funded counties with Home Visiting slots. As of December 31, the campaign has generated 3.34 million impressions, and 4,658 clicks to the Home Visiting page of helpmegrow.org.

Social media advertising in MIECHV counties started in December. Look out for our ads on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn now through the end of the fiscal year!

GoogleAds were purchased for search engine optimization at the end of December 2021 for web users searching keywords such as pregnancy, baby, parent, birth, child, etc. These ads generated more than 37,500 impressions and 177 clicks to helpmegrow.org in a matter of days!

Home Visiting advertising could also be seen through television commercial space purchased on Connected TVs and mobile devices during the second quarter. When the campaign concluded January 31, these ads had generated 469,997 impressions, with more than 76 percent of viewers watching the video ads to completion.
