G53 RECEIVES CT HUMANITIES GRANT

We are SO GRATEUL to be awarded a CT Cultural Fund Operating Support Grant from CT Humanities (CTH). These grants assist organizations as they recover from the pandemic and maintain and grow their ability to serve their community and the public. As an independent nonprofit relying on fundraisers, class fees and contributions, we truly appreciate this support!

The man in red (aka Dave Grodzicki) shops the G53 Holiday Artisan Fair during this year's 3-day Meriden YuleFest!
Connecticut artist Gina Dunlap gave a workshop on cold wax + oil paint on 1/14. Gina explained there are no rules and encouraged us to experiment!

A new US Postage stamp will honor children’s book author and illustrator - AND Meriden native! - Tomie dePaola (1934-2020). The stamp will feature a detail from the cover of “Strega Nona” (1975), his Caldecott Honor winning book.
