Ray-Pec Community,
March is nationally known as Music In Our Schools Month. This month is a way to highlight the powerful role that quality music programs play in the lives of our Ray-Pec students.
One of the first things friends told me as I prepared to move to the Ray-Pec School District was about the high-quality music programs offered to students. From vocal performances and musicals to instrumental performances and band, I have had the opportunity to watch, hear, and enjoy student music performances since I have been here. I know we are all proud of the music programs that we have in this community. None of these programs would be possible without the hard work and dedication of our teachers involved in music education. From exposing students to music in our early childhood and elementary school programs to helping them hone their craft and discover their musical passions in our secondary schools, our music teachers help every step of the way in developing student interests, talents, and abilities.
There is a tremendous impact of music education on the lives of our Ray-Pec students and we have great programs to show for that. Those programs are indeed a source of pride for this school district.
