HPED Considers Havertown Restaurant Week
HPED has determined that we cannot safely host Moonlight Dining or Taste of the Township this year, nor do they meet the guidelines for maximum event size.

In it's place, we are interested in hosting a Havertown Restaurant Week this fall. Interested restaurants should email Jeanne and Mariesa at info@hped.org.
HPED Welcomes the Llanerch School Apartments
The Llanerch School, originally built in 1905 and rebuilt on the site in 1913, has been renovated and transformed into high-end apartments by owner/developer Jeff Steigerwalt. The apartments are expected to begin leasing in late September.

Jeff grew up in the Manoa section of Havertown and now lives there with his wife and children. He has a BA in business from Widener University, and an extensive background in commercial lending. Currently he is Regional President for ESSA Bank & Trust and serves on the Board of The Daniel M. DiLella Center for Real Estate at Villanova University. He also has experience as a developer in Havertown, Delco, and Margate, NJ.

How Residents can Safeguard our Businesses
During the Coronavirus Crisis

Haverford Partnership for Economic Development (HPED) is committed to supporting local businesses, especially our family-owned businesses, during the coronavirus crisis. We know that Haverford Township residents are also eager to support our businesses at this time.
There are many ways that residents can support businesses while keeping your family safe:

  • Order and pay online when possible
  • Take advantage of curbside pick-up, delivery, and shipping options
  • Enjoy outdoor dining at participating restaurants, and indoor dining where available.
  • Purchase gift cards from businesses who are closed to tide them over during this crisis. Consider buying a gift card for someone who is working at an essential business, such as hospital staff and first responders, or for an elderly friend or neighbor.
  • Support your favorite businesses by liking their Facebook page, leaving an online review, commenting on or liking their posts!
  • Join HPED as a Resident Member ($25) to support our work. Click here for membership form.
We have compiled information about the status of businesses in the Township and posted it on the Discover Haverford website, so that residents can see which businesses are open, open for pick-up and delivery only, and which ones are closed.

We are asking businesses to email info@HPED.org so that we have the most accurate and current information to post.
