ANNOUNCEMENT
We partner with Project Success in ELA classrooms monthly. They offer students amazing opportunities (college tours, free admission to local theater, classes on coding, cooking, etc., and so much more) and have really been successful at pivoting during COVID to making all of their resources and opportunities online. Check out their website to take advantage of what Project Success is offering this year! https://www.projectsuccess.org/
PROJECT SUCCESS - WINTER 2021 OPPORTUNITIES!

We know this school year continues to look different from previous years. However, Project Success is here connecting and supporting our Roosevelt students. They are bringing fun and engaging opportunities to our students and families all at no cost to you! Whether it’s virtual workshops during class with PS Facilitator Marc Bromaghim-Oropeza, college and career podcasts, virtual global expeditions, theater and music exploration via online arts, or a chance to connect with a pen pal in another part of the world, they have numerous ways for students to connect to their purpose and explore from the safety of their homes. While many things have changed in the world, one thing has remained constant, Project Success’ dedication to our students!  Marc and the Project Success team are here and will continue to be here for you throughout the remainder of the 2020-2021 school year.

Would you like to help give scholarships to Roosevelt students and grants to staff without it costing you a penny? Do you ever shop at Amazon?

Instead of going to amazon.com, go to smile.amazon.com. Register and select Minneapolis Theodore Roosevelt High School Foundation as your charity. Each time you shop at smile.amazon the Foundation will receive a small percentage of your purchase.

You just have to remember to go to smile.amazon.com instead of Amazon…..same merchandise, same prices, same service. Thank YOU!

(You can search by word, so if you are looking for an "art" based volunteering opportunity, or a "children" based opportunity, "senior citizen", etc.

If you have questions before that, please email Christol.Schultz@mpls.k12.mn.us.

If your student is doing their hours OUTSIDE of the school, please have them send in a paper that is signed, dated and phone number listed for the organization or person that they helped.
