Free Meals for D65 Students!
D65 and Evanston Township High School Nutrition Services Departments are excited to announce that we are now able to offer meals free of charge to all children ages 18 and under. This is made possible through a waiver sponsored by the USDA (effective through December 31). Beginning Tuesday, September 8, meals will be available for weekly pick-up at seven sites throughout the community. To ensure that your meal order is processed correctly, remember to complete the Order Form for curbside pickup by Friday at 9 AM. The order form may be completed as needed by new participants. If you have already completed the form, there is no need to fill it out again.

Virtual Enrichment Courses for Students during Remote Learning
Don’t forget! Virtual enrichment courses are now being offered through the D65 PEP and PTA Council in collaboration with school PTAs. Clubs will start Monday, September 14. A variety of before and after school clubs are available for students, including free ones through Girls Play Sports, YWCA, and Ridgeville Park District! Additionally, students can participate in their favorite sports, martial arts, and Spanish clubs (just to name a few!) through paid clubs. As a reminder, clubs that begin from 8-8:45 AM are reserved for elementary school students, the 3-3:45 PM slot is reserved only for Magnet school students, and the 4-4:45 and 5-5:45 PM slot is open for all students. Please reach out to [email protected] if you have any questions. Click here if you are in need of scholarship assistance for virtual clubs.

Keep Reading! Register for your Library Card
Our D65 Librarians want our students to continue reading! Here's their friendly reminder to invest in their love of books with a library card. Evanston residents can register for their library card at epl.org and Skokie residents can claim their library cards via skokielibrary.info. Both libraries offer curbside pickup for all avid readers! Feel free to connect with your school librarian if you need additional assistance or more information. Now, there’s no excuse to grab your favorite book from the Percy Jackson & the Olympians series! Happy reading!

MAP Testing Remote Guidance and Resources
MAP Testing (Measure of Academic Progress) will begin for K-8 grade students on Monday, September 14. We understand that this format of testing will present many questions, challenges, and emotions as this will be the first time many students are assessed in a remote environment. To help prepare students and families for testing, we are providing remote testing guidance to ensure a smoother experience. These resources were created in collaboration with our educators and guidance from NWEA. Our educators and school leaders will continue to support families and students who may have questions or concerns about MAP testing.
Curbside Meal Pick-Up
Now Available!

Breakfast and lunch will be available to every child during Remote Learning. Meals may be pre-ordered (by Thursdays) and picked up curbside for the week on Mondays at several locations. For more information and details, click HERE.
