I meant to send this little concert calendar earlier this week, with some local concerts right away and some April concerts with new compositions. However, I missed my chance on Wednesday and our Internet just came back on.

Mozart concert - Carlisle Chamber Orchestra
Alan Yost, Music Director

Flute Concerto, performed by Susan Jackson, a movement of the Flute & Harp Concerto, and Mozart's comedy about the rivalry of singers, The Impresario.

There's heat and light at the church in Carlisle so if you're electricity is out, this will be a refuge.

Annual Scholarship Concert - Lexington Music Club

Enjoy some fine music while you help the club fund scholarships for graduating seniors at Lexington High School. The faculty chooses recipients when have shown great talent during the years at LHS.

Previous scholarship recipient Chihiro Tsukamoto performs Liszt, plus club members perform Mozart, Offenbach, Brahms, and local composer Dianne Rahbee.

Karl Henning regularly presents his music at King's Chapel with our little quartet of flutes, clarinet, and horn, plus an pre-recorded soundscape. This time, I'll contribute a new piece Birds on the Harmonic Plain, still in progress. Cross your fingers that I finish it!

Five local composers have been commissioned to write new works, setting the words of MLK. Come hear the premiere of my Sweet Princesses (Birmingham 1963) for soprano and string trio, with audience responsive verses.
