Our census-representative survey of 1,505 American adults found that whole grain consumption is on the rise, with 59% of Americans reporting that they make at least half their grains whole. Whole Grains Linked with Better Maintenance of Waist Size, Blood Pressure, Blood Sugar
In a study of 3,121 adults, eating the most whole grains was linked with smaller increases in waist size compared with eating the least whole grains. Eating more whole grains was also linked with smaller increases in fasting blood sugar and systolic blood pressure.
