Winter Reads
For those of you who haven't been into the Shakopee Library lately, here's a peek at their Winter Reads display - a Winter Wonderland!
Question of the Week:
What activity do you look forward to each winter, and why?
Reply via our Facebook or twitter pages, and we'll share your answers here next week!
Last Week's Question: "What is your favorite book, and why is it your favorite?"
Here are some of the answers we received:
The Book Thief by Markus Zusak - historical fiction that shows the power of reading, writing and books during WW II - Jean Z.
The Beekeeper's Apprentice by Laurie R. King - I enjoy that it keeps the feel of Sherlock Holmes from the original mysteries but he is more of an accomplice and teacher to Mary Russell than the main character of the story. - Katie H.
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen - it’s a classic but I like it because it’s well written and a fun read - Brooke V.
My Name is Asher Lev by Chaim Potok - so much about its portrayal of art and faith and the search for truth resonate with me - CarlaJoy
