This Saturday you are invited to join us for the next performance brought to you by “The Raue Center Arts on the Green at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church.” Purchase your tickets now to hear blues performer Derrick Procell. Bring your lawn chair, snacks and beverage, and invite friends and neighbors. Last week, as many of you know, the series kicked off but had to be moved inside to the Raue because of the weather. This week we anticipate doing our ribbon cutting ceremony and toast here on the lawn of St. Mary’s. See the link below to purchase tickets. Tickets can also be purchased when you arrive. If you need complimentary tickets please contact Deacon Mike. It is sure to be a great night!
It is not too soon to think about CROP Walk, which will be held on Sunday September 26, at Living Water’s Lutheran Church, from 1:30 p.m.-4:00 p.m. You can join the St. Mary’s team and/or make a donation to our team online. If you wish to write a check please make it out to CWS/CROP Walk, and get it to Rev. Fran. Our goal this year is $1,600.00.
Please see the link below, for a video from Presiding Bishop Michael Curry, Bishop-elect Paula Clark, and the President of the Standing Committee, Anne Jolly, regarding the delay of the consecration of our Bishop-elect. Please continue to keep Bishop-elect Paula Clark in your prayers.
See you Sunday at our 8:00 a.m. or 10:00 a.m. services. We will have coffee hour after each service, in the Great Hall.
Blessings,
Rev. Fran+
Bishop-Elect Paula Clark Update
In avideo recorded yesterday in Chicago, Presiding Bishop Michael Curry announced that the ordination and consecration of Bishop-elect Paula Clark has been postponed from August 28 to a date to be determined in consultation with the bishop-elect and her doctors.
"We continue to have every expectation that Bishop-elect Clark will make a recovery enabling her to serve as the bishop of Chicago," he said. "But we are not there yet. Please hear me when I say, we are not there yet!"
Our exciting summer partnership with the Raue continues this Saturday, July 31, at 7:00 p.m., with a performance by singer/songwriter Derrick Procell.

Volunteers: The next food pantry volunteer opportunity is Wednesday, August 18. Shift times are 8:30-10:15 a.m., 10:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m., or 12:15– 2:15 p.m. Please contact Cate Williams if you are able to help.
Paper Please: Donations of paper goods are greatly needed at the Crystal Lake Food Pantry. The pantry is not able to buy paper goods through the food bank, and clients are not able to use their SNAP benefits to purchase any paper goods such as toilet paper, Kleenex, paper towels, and napkins. Bring them to the church any time, and your Board members will get them over to the pantry. Paper goods are items that are lightweight, easy to carry and low cost that can be donated and will be appreciated by the clients. Thanks!!
