$69 Million Issued in Small Business Restart GrantsThe Michigan Small Business Development Grant Program has awarded $69 million in grants to more than 11,000 small businesses and nonprofits in Michigan since its inception in July. Eligible businesses were able to apply for grants under the program through 8/5/20 for working capital to support payroll expenses, rent, mortgage payments, utility expenses or other similar expenses. A total of $100 million in federal CARES Act funding is allocated to the program. A second round of Restart grants will be awarded by local economic development organization in mid-October.
