Weekly Director Letter 03/04/2022
Dear Parents,
It is hard to believe we are already talking about summer camp. Please be aware that for kids who are YOUNGER than VPK, nothing will change for you with regard to the summer. Your enrollment is continuous thought the start of the new school year. The only difference is that you have the option of taking a 2-week vacation and not being billed as long as you tell us your vacation dates by June 1.

The only other change is your child will advance to their new classes on the first day of summer camp. We have found that this is a great way to get to know their new class and schedules and get to know the teacher throughout the summer. We will let you know your child's new class in May before they move on June 13th.

Also, regarding summer camp for kids currently in VPK, Kindergarten, First, and Second Grade, if your child will be attending our program in the fall we have held spaces for everyone who asked to attend summer camp. After doing that, we have no remaining space for summer camp as our classes are full.  Some of you have been asked to be put on a waitlist. Those who have been notified of spaces have been enrolled.  Any others on the list, we will let you know if space becomes available.

What a wonderful week filled with lots of silly Dr. Suess learning fun. If you have seen our Facebook page I know you enjoyed seeing the silly socks, dress up outfits, and silly hats all week long. On Friday our students capped off the week with our students dressing up in their future career choice. I am producing a little video this weekend and will share the link when it is ready.

Students in VPK and Kindergarten - Second Grade, you will be getting save the date flyers for our VPK graduation and K-2 Year End Assemblies. Notices will also be posted on the front bulletin board. We are excited this year to be able to do something that we could not do last year. More info to follow so stay tuned.

This week in the Science Lab our VPK kids learned about the concept of sinking and floating. Students tested many items to see if they would sink or float. By the end of the experiment, they were making their own predictions based on what they learned throughout the experiment.

Thank you to everyone who donated to the recovery fund for Ms. Mireya. Due to your kindness and generosity, we believe we have covered her rent and living expenses during the time that she is unable to work. Thank you!!
