STEWARDSHIP REFLECTION
16th Sunday in Ordinary Time

“He said to them, “Come away by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while.” MARK 6:31

Do you spend time, every day, alone and in silence listening to how God is calling you? If not, you are missing out on a wonderful opportunity to develop a more personal relationship with Him. Unless we talk and more importantly, listen to God every day, how else will we know how He is calling us? Consider making a retreat this year, spend some “alone” time with God.

GIVING
Through Christ we have access in the one Spirit to the Father.

Offertory – At Masses & Online Giving (Weekend of 7/11/21)  $16,514.

A most sincere thank you to all families who choose to continue supporting the church through your giving. Your support is crucial and heartfelt. Words fall short in expressing our gratitude. May God bless you for your generosity.

Joseph’s last weekend with us is this weekend (July 18th). Please plan to come on the 18th to bid our Donut King farewell (at coffee and donuts) as he continues on his journey.

Hello fellow parishioners. On behalf of the Ushers and Greeters Advisory Board (Tim Boone, Lou Loquasto, Ernie Ceccato, Mark Holihan and myself, Ralph Conti) as well as all of the Ushers and Greeters here at COKAS, we invite you to stop by our table on the weekend of July 17th and 18th to learn more about how you can participate. We will be holding two separate one (1) hour Training Sessions for both new and existing Ushers and Greeters. One will be August 4th at 7pm and another will be at 11am on August 26th.

We look forward to seeing you at Mass and we hope you will prayerfully consider this Ministry.

MONDAYS IN THE WORLD BIBLE STUDY
Mondays in the Word Bible Study

This fall, beginning Monday, September 13th (10-11:30am),
we will study the book of Hebrews (The New and Eternal Covenant) for 8 weeks. This is a new ASCENSION PRESS bible study, and is presented by Jeff Cavins and Andrew Swafford. Hebrews is a sublime book that draws connections between the Old and New Testaments, the Liturgy, the Eucharist, the priesthood, and so much more.
Most importantly, Hebrews will help Catholics appreciate the astounding generosity of God as they see the wonders he has given us in the Church.

Watch the bulletin for details about signing up in August for this study. We can’t wait to have you join us!! If you are interested in facilitating, please email biblestudyam.cokas@gmail.com to volunteer.

Hail, Guardian of the Redeemer,
