Confident in the long view

I feel fortunate to live in a place where restrictions around the pandemic are easing, where life and business are returning to some semblance of normalcy. Stores are open, people are returning to offices or heading off on vacation and most businesses are ramping back up.
I am well aware there are many places, people and organizations who still struggle, and I feel for them. Naturally, we all want more regions to experience what is happening here in New Brunswick, Canada, but that doesn’t diminish the personal and professional challenges people are facing.
 
This is acutely so for the leaders and business owners I speak with, who are concerned about what comes next.
Webinar series tackling HR challenges
This fall, we will be offering a series of free webinars designed to help leaders and organizations deal with many of the challenges they are facing today. Hosted by Dave Veale, they will feature conversations with experts in leadership and human resources issues.
Helping people find resilience
Long-time executive turned leadership coach Dora Nicinski believes that a key to prospering during times of uncertainty, such as we are now experiencing with the COVID-19 crisis, is resilience in leadership. As she puts it, being resilient means you bounce instead of shattering when times get tough.

Changing lives, and futures, for youth
It heartens me to share with you the continued success of the Million Dollar Pledge, a network of 14 businesses in the Saint John region each committed to donating $10,000 a year for 10 years to fund socially minded community projects.

Vision Coaching is immensely proud to be one of the founding businesses behind the Million Dollar Pledge. I had the privilege recently of meeting virtually with representatives from the other committed businesses to hear how giving back to our community is improving lives.
