CSL Partnership Opportunity:
Community Service Advocates

This year, we are working to plan a Kansas Day of Advocacy with members of our Advocates group- we'd love your participation in this project!

The student Community Service Advocates group is an opportunity for those passionate about community service or leaders of various KU student service organizations to come together and network, build partnerships and learn from one another on a regular basis.

Visit our Advocates webpage to join our Microsoft Teams channel and learn more about the Kansas Day of Advocacy.
Student Support Highlight:
Service Learning Capacity Awards

Funds are available to KU students to help address barriers and challenges to service participation and engagement with and in communities. Students who may experience barriers (e.g., transportation, childcare) or hardships (e.g., finances to purchase service project materials, missed days of work for service) in supporting community engagement and service activities may apply for a Community Service Support Award through the Center for Service Learning.

The CSCA is a need-based service award that may support an award of $500 or less based on the amount requested to address the level of need presented in the application. Accepting an award may impact any existing financial aid package. Before accepting this award, students are responsible for contacting the Office of Student Financial Aid to determine how it may affect your total financial aid award package.

please contact the Center for Service Learning.
