Thomas J. Allison, CTP, is the first recipient of the Turnaround Management Association (TMA) Peter Tourtellot Award. TMA established the Tourtellot Award in 2017 to recognize individuals who have displayed outstanding leadership and volunteerism involving the TMA Certification Program. The award was named the Peter Tourtellot Award in honor of past TMA Chair Peter Tourtellot, one of the TMA Certification Program's founders and champions throughout his career.

The Cincinnati Museum Center has named a federal judge to lead its board of trustees.
Jeffery Hopkins, chief judge for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Southern District of Ohio since 1996, was elected board chair at the Center's annual meeting in January.

Peggy Hunt, a partner in Dorsey's Salt Lake City office, has been appointed as a member to the Task Force on Diversity for the Federal Bar Association. Hunt joins 15 other legal professionals from across the country to support the FBA's mission of full and equal access to, and participation by, all individuals in the FBA, the legal profession, and the justice system, regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, national origin, religion, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or any other unique attribute. Each member of the Task Force serves a one-year term.

As a result of a January 1, 2018 merger, James A. Lodoen has joined Ballard Spahr's Bankruptcy, Reorganization and Capital Recovery Practice after practicing with Minneapolis-based Lindquist and Vennum for 30 years. Lodoen joins Paul Harner, a partner in Ballard Spahr's New York and Baltimore offices. Lodoen was named Litigation-Bankruptcy "Lawyer of the Year," by Best Lawyers in America in 2018 and has been recognized by Minnesota Super Lawyers, Minnesota Lawyer, and the Minnesota Bar Association for his work.

Longtime Boise bankruptcy attorney Joseph M. Meier has been appointed as a judge of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Idaho, to succeed U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Jim Pappas, who is completing his 28th year of service.

Puerto Rico Gov. Ricardo Rosselló announced the appointment of the three members of the board of trustees of the Government Development Bank Debt Recovery Authority.
The trustees are David Pauker, Jorge L. Padilla and Matthew Karp.

Woodbridge Group of Companies, LLC and certain of its affiliates and subsidiaries announced that, with the guidance of its experienced transition Board of Managers led by the Honorable James M. Peck, the Honorable Robert E. Gerber, and Jan Baker, it successfully reset the chapter 11 cases by aligning the interests of major constituencies in a settlement of rigorous litigation. In a matter of days, the Board achieved a settlement in principle with the Creditors Committee, SEC (subject to Commission approval), and investor groups to establish go-forward governance, a process to bring additional assets under the protection of the bankruptcy cases, and organized fiduciary representation for the investors.
