Welcome New Summer Staff
Administrative Support Officer
The Altona & District Chamber of Commerce is very pleased to welcome Nicole Schellenberg as our Administrative Support Officer for this summer. Nicole has (remotely) completed her first year in business studies working toward her Bachelor of Commerce at University of Manitoba.
Nicole grew up in Rosenfeld and went to school in Altona, graduating from W.C. Miller Collegiate in 2020. During her time there she served on the Student Council, Youth in Philanthropy, various event committees and was the Youth Representative to the Town of Altona Council. She was also active on the Sunflower Queen Pageant and was a candidate in 2020.
Nicole is currently archiving old Chamber files and will be reaching out to Chamber Members as she works on various Shop Local projects over the summer.

Altona Welcome Program Needs You!

The Altona & District Chamber of Commerce administers the Community/Newlywed/Baby Welcome for Altona and the Rural Municipality of Rhineland (except Plum Coulee). We arrange for business and organization coupons, pamphlets, letters, books and more to create a substantial package for people who are referred or who fill out the form on our website www.shopaltona.com.
Some local businesses provide their own inserts or allow us to create them for them. It is a really efficient system.
There is a $2.00 charge per item to have us fill the packages, have people pick them up or we deliver if necessary. We prepare a report for Contributors.
Last year we provided 45 packages and this year, we have provided 21 to date.
We are currently looking for more Contributors for the Community Welcome packages. If you are interested, contact the Chamber Office at 204-324-8793 or email [email protected]. Let's keep the "Altogether Altona" alive and well.
