TAHOMA FOOTBALL
Dear Tahoma Football Families,

We are so excited to announce a modified start to spring/summer football at Tahoma HS. Please check out this letter from Coach Davis where you will find all the information about the June Zoom team meetings.

After reading the letter please email Coach Davis directly at tdavis@tahomasd.us If your player wasn’t involved in the Character Challenge and he will get them the meeting link and placed on a team building squad.

As with everything in our lives right now we will need lots of flexibility and patience as the coaches navigate the changing guidelines. We will do our best to get information out to you as soon as possible. Please keep checking your email, www.tahomafootball.com, Facebook and Twitter .

Go Bears!

New "at home Volt training"
features you should know about!

Tahoma Football Families,

We have decided to use our current weight room platform, VOLT, for our off season training. VOLT has added a couple options for at home workouts. There are option for No Equipment and Some Equipment workouts. All players have been added to the "No Equipment" workout and can start today. If you have some equipment (dumbbells) at home send me a email at toddleick@gmail.com and I will move you to the equipment workout. If you are new to Tahoma Football and do not have a VOLT account please send an email to toddleick@gmail.com with your players first and last name and email address.  Stay Safe and Healthy.

Thanks - Coach Leick

Our NPSL designated photographer Kurt Audett has graciously donated access to the past few season of action photos he has taken. He hopes that during this difficult time it brings a little joy and fun to your day. You can find access to his photos at his website:

Thank you so much for this generous offer to our families Kurt!

CHARACTER CHALLENGE
LETTER FROM COACH DAVIS
Bear families,

I hope this message finds your family safe and healthy. We’re in an incredible time, unlike any other I’ve seen in nearly 30 years in education.

One of the activities we’ve chosen to participate in is the Character Challenge. The “challenge” is a weekly character based competition between football teams at the following schools: Auburn Mountainview, Ballard, Bellevue, Bonney Lake, Bothell, Kentridge, Lakewood, Liberty, Lincoln, Newport, O’Dea, Pasco, Selah, Tahoma, and Woodinville.

The competition includes simple weekly challenges, and is designed to keep the players connected in these difficult days. The week 1 challenge was to simply have the players make their bed each morning. Ideally the kids will post a picture on social media #wafbcharacterchallenge. The team has been divided into seven squads with each led by two seniors. Every week we will total the number of kids who completed the challenge, how many days they did it, and rank the teams each week. The school that “wins the week,” will be rewarded for their success and we have a sponsor who will provide prizes for the team that wins the overall competition.

Parents, here’s how you can help. If you have a current freshman or sophomore they should have been contacted by their group leader and given an explanation of the competition – the seniors also chose to add a pushup competition to their plan (competition just between the Tahoma squads). If your player hasn’t been contacted, email Coach Davis ( tdavis@tahomasd.us ) so we can see which squad he’s a member of and make sure the seniors leading his group have the correct contact information (text number).

Feel free to email me if you have questions. I appreciate your support on this as we try to keep the players connected in these uncertain times.
