STRONG and Healthy Hawks!

We had a great Healthy Hawks Week! Our Hawks focused on positive character qualities and healthy habits, had fun dressing up for Spirit Week, did terrific in the Fun Run, and raised money for our Hawk Fund.

PTF Meeting

Tuesday, April 5th at 8:20am in MPR

All WCA parents are members of the PTF and invited to attend the meeting on April 5 at 8:20 am after carpool. We will meet in the Multi-Purpose Room to plan the end of the year activities. 

Spring Picture Day

Monday, April 11

Students may wear their favorite outfits for Picture Day. Uniforms are not required. The school photographer will be taking individual pictures, and ordering information will be sent home soon.

WCA's Open Mic Extravaganza!

Do you have a child that would like to share their gifts with their friends? This is a wonderful opportunity.

When: April 14th 

Who: 1st - 8th graders and EC

Time: During school hours 2pm - 2:45pm

Ideas: Share a poem, read a story, play an instrument, sing a song, share your artwork and tell us about it, etc. Plan on a maximum of 2 to 2.5 minutes for each performance.

This is a great opportunity for students who are unsure about performing to watch and be inspired for our BIG Talent Show coming in the Fall of 2022!

The evening will begin with a SHOWCASE designed by Ms. Francis to highlight our WCA students. After the special show, we will celebrate a successful year at WCA with a big SHINDIG!. There will be lots of fun activities and a picnic dinner! Save the date!

Our 8th graders achieved their iReady math goal and got to color Mrs. Crocker's hair last week! WCA teachers will stop at nothing to get students to set and reach lofty goals.

WCA students had the opportunity to learn more about the Easter story last week, thanks to our 5th-8th grade Boys Club. The Upper-Grade class built scenes from this beautiful story with LEGOs and put them on display. Each class visited the display to read the scripture, view the scenes, and discuss why we journey through Lent and celebrate Easter. Thank you to our 5th-8th grade boys for being such great leaders and allowing our school to experience this season's message in a beautiful, meaningful, and fun way!
