2021 SPEC MIX BRICKLAYER 500: Northeast & Philadelphia Regionals
Northeast Regional Series
On October 8, 2021 the Northeast Regional Series was held in Succassuna, NJ at Reuther Material Company.

Judges for the competition included Masonry Contractors of New Jersey's Past President Ron Atzert of American Masonry Corp. and Eric Schaffer of Back Brook Masonry, both current members of our Association, as well as NJ BAC Local 4 Representatives Ken Simone, Larry Iannaccone & Steve Preziosi and retired NJ State Apprentice Coordinator Bob Alesandro.

The NJ BAC Locals 4 & 5 Apprentice Instructors Eric Dougherty and Ren Engelhardt picked up a trowel and shovel last minute to fill in for a team that couldn't make it to the competition. Eric said it had been 2-3 yrs since he's laid brick for a long wall to the line. What an example for Eric and Ren to set for pre-job students as they watched on.
