Ceca Award Caregivers in the News
Two of our outstanding caregivers have been in the media spotlight recently. Margo Buda, an RN at Knollwood Life Plan Community (and a Ceca Annual Award recipient) was featured for her efforts in establishing a COVID testing lab and protecting senior residents throughout the pandemic. Patricia Murray, a Dietary Manager at Ascension Living Carroll Manor, recently celebrated her 25th Anniversary at the facility, marking her incredible journey over the years after Sister Carol Keehan (named as TIME Magazine's "100 Most Influential People in the World" and friend of Ceca) offered her an opportunity while living in a halfway house.
We’re pleased to see these deserving caregivers’ stories highlighted and honored to be a part of these special moments.

Healthcare Associations and Ceca – Prioritizing Caregiver Recognition
Ceca Foundation honors caregivers through more than just the Ceca Award. In partnership with Ohio Health Care Association, Missouri Health Care Association, LifeSpan Network, and LeadingAge DC and Maryland, we are supporting annual recognition events at industry conferences and conventions, showcasing the efforts of exceptional care providers around the country. Utilizing the CecaAward.org platform, hundreds of nominations have been submitted for dozens of Association Awards, to be announced at conferences in the coming months.
Additionally, Ceca President Nate Hamme has delivered educational webinars for members of numerous Associations, focusing on best practices for creating a caring culture that highlight acts of individual caregivers. This recognition promotes higher employee engagement and better quality of care for our nation’s hospitals, skilled nursing, hospice, home care, and senior living communities. Learn how Ceca can support your member organization or association or your next event or conference.
