Memorial Service for Longtime Defender of Secure Retirement Held Oct. 13
Michael J. Curran, a former member of TEXPERS' Board of Directors, died on Oct. 5.

A Houston resident, Curran, 75, worked as a CPA for the Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County. After he retired from the transit authority, he became an active member of TEXPERS and served two full terms on its Board of Directors between 2006 and 2014. 

Cryptocurrency Poll Results
In our September 2021 TEXPERS Outlook newsletter, we polled our members asking if their funds are bringing cryptocurrency into investment portfolios. In the unscientific survey, of the 47 respondents, 53.2% said, "No," 27.7% indicated their funds "haven't decided," and 19.1% marked, "Yes."
