We ARE making a difference in the community!

At H.O.P.E. for Animals it is our MISSION to eliminate the preventable euthanasia of companion animals and community cats by providing
ļ»æhigh-quality low-cost spay/neuter and wellness services, by supporting rescue and by promoting responsible pet ownership.
How We Help Pets & People In Need
"I called them because a friend recommended them for a feral cat that's been on my property for some time. She recently had kittens. We rehomed the kittens but wanted to keep momma as she is VERY feral. They microchipped her, gave her antibiotics for mastitis, and spayed her for free. They were so kind to me and to the cat, and I highly recommend them even for your regular pets as they are the cheapest in the 4 county area. LOVE them."

A big thank you to The Humane Society of the United States - Indiana for providing H.O.P.E. for Animals with the #SpayTogether grant!

With this grant H.O.P.E. for Animals has
been able to provide reduced cost spay/neuter services to pets of families
ļ»æin financial need.

Nationally, there have been over 57,000 spay/neuter surgeries and here at
H.O.P.E. for Animals we have helped over 1,000 dogs and cats in our community!

Check our Facebook page for weekly updates on the families and their pets

Join us at H.O.P.E. for Animals for our annual community service project/shelter building day! The annual Feline Fall Festival, presented by PROFED Federal Credit Union will be held (socially distanced of course) on Saturday, October 3rd at H.O.P.E. for Animals from 10 am ā€“ 12 noon. This is a FREE event and all ages are welcome. Masks are required to participate. Shelter building is done outdoors so please dress accordingly.
The Feline Fall Festival is a truly unique event where volunteers team together to assemble hundreds of outdoor shelters for unowned community cats. Learn how to safely and humanely trap, transport, and release cats as part of the TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return) program. Bring the kids along, they love to help too! While you are here, be sure to get a ā€œbehind the scenesā€ tour of H.O.P.E. for Animals and warm up with some hot cocoa or coffee as a thank you for helping!

Volunteers are welcome to take a shelter or two home while they are here, and the remaining shelters are distributed throughout the winter months at H.O.P.E. for Animals. These shelters are offered at no charge, but donations are encouraged and appreciated. All gifts received at the event support the Community Cat Program and provide funds to purchase supplies for additional shelter-builds.
Employee Spotlight: Barb
Barb is our Lead in the Wellness Clinic and a RVT (Registered Veterinary Technician) at H.O.P.E. for Animals! She has been with us for 7 years and our organization has benefited tremendously by having her as a part of our team!

Being able to help animals that wouldnā€™t be able to get these services without H.O.P.E. is Barbā€™s favorite part of her job. She enjoys seeing a wide variety of animals throughout the day and she is thrilled to be able to make a difference in their lives. Not only is Barb great with the animals, she is great with the customers and makes an excellent leader for her coworkers. She excels under pressure and may be considered by some of us as the caring mother of the group!

When Barb isnā€™t working, she is usually spending time with her family and her pets! She has two dogs and three cats. Her two dogs are Sampson and Sadie, and her cats are named Sabrina, Oliver, and Pearl! In her free time, Barb enjoys working on home projects, reading, hiking, and is a huge foodie!

We LOVE having Barb as a part of the H.O.P.E. team! Her dedication to the animals and our mission are truly inspiring! Thank you for being PAWsome, Barb!
