Mask mandates are not the only thing being lifted this month. Our spirits have also been lifted as we are now resuming
in-person meetings with our clients!
Employee Spotlight
It is Women’s History Month, so this month we have chosen to highlight the fierce and fearless Accounts Manager, Courtenay Craig. Courtenay has been the liaison between our clients and attorneys since 2009. She tracks billing, addresses client billing concerns, resolves disputes, and manages our third-party vendors. Her diligence, accuracy, sense of humor and kindness make her extremely valuable to our team.
What is the most memorable moment you have had while working at HK?
Courtenay: “I love working for HK and the most memorable moment I saw us at our best was when an Opposing Party (Domestic Violence) kidnapped our client's children and was escaping via SF Airport and our team jumped into hyper action and alerted the authorities (Local Authorities & FBI) and who arrived in time a detained the O/P just as they were boarding the plane and we were able to circumvent what would have been a horrible existence for the children and returned them safely to their mother! I cheered for our firm and the relieved client who still sends her thanks and refers
friends to us till this day.”
What is the best part of your job?
Courtenay: “The best part of my job is helping clients find financial and other solutions when they need them. My own personal family law domestic violence experiences helped prepare me in the accounts manager position to provide compassionate and informed advice to our clients, or a friendly ear when they feel like their world or lives are falling apart and are in need of a friend.”
Outside of work, Courtenay organizes help for the local homeless, shelters and finds homes for stray animals, and is a source of strength for her family and friends. There is no one more loyal or more generous. We appreciated you, Court!
