Weekly Director Letter 06/04/2021
Dear Parents,

As next week is a short week, this will be the last weekly newsletter of the school year. We are all really excited about our jam packed summer program. We have posted a listing of the classes so that you can see what room your child will be in when summer starts on June 14th. The list also shows the weeks families have signed up to take time off. If your week choice is INCORRECT please let me know so that we can bill you properly. For summer camp your child may wear the school T-shirt daily if they wish instead of the polos. If you need more T-shirts, we have plenty.

Over the summer, we will have 5 on-site field trips for kids turning 4 by September 1st and older. There is a nominal $5 charge per field trip. If your child is in attendance on those days, we will bill your Brightwheel accounts. Please also remember next Thursday (WE ARE CLOSED NEXT FRIDAY) to take home all of your child's belongings, if you are not attending next Thursday, let us know what day is your last one next week so we can send your things home. We sanitize Crocs routinely, but if your child's Crocs are dirty you may wish to wash them and be sure to check to see if they need a bigger size.

Here is a link to our fabulous camp calendar. Be sure to mark your calendars now for our Father's Day Photo Shoot on the FIRST DAY of camp. If possible have Dad or a special person drop off your child so that we can get a photo. Gifts will be handed out on the first Friday of camp.

This week we released the VPK Graduation Video and Montage. In case you missed it, here is the link. Feel free to share it with friends and family. We hope our VPK families loved their gift bags, they were made with love.

Next week our Kindergarten and First Grade classes will have their year-end awards presentation. Those classes will go to the Science Lab at 2:00. Parents are asked to arrive between 2:00 and 4:00 pm so that their child can be presented with their awards and gifts as well as take a photo with their teacher. When you arrive, sign your child out and wait in the designated area. You will be called on at a time so that we can observe social distancing. K/1 families should be on the lookout in Brightwheel for a link to view their child's end of the year video which is currently being produced.

If you would like to order an 8 x 10 photo with all your child's classmates, please sign up on the list where the photos are posted. Indicate how many photos you would like. If you do not want one, please write in a "0" next to your child's name. We will take orders until Wednesday at 9:00 am so that we can have them ready to pass out Wednesday afternoon.

I would like to take a moment to thank all of the families who participated in the Year End Teacher Gift Program. I was touched by your generosity. I will be waiting until Tuesday to give your cash gifts to the staff so that any families who still wish to participate, we will collect them until Tuesday morning. If you wish to have your gift billed to Brightwheel, send me a message or let staff know when you drop off or pick up.

Finally, for those families who will be moving on, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for entrusting your child to my fabulous staff. We wish you well wherever you go and please don't forget to visit.

Wishing you well,
Beth Rosenthal Davis, Ed.S, NBCT
