WRAPPING IT UP
There were some outstanding accomplishments this month with the first degree awarded in Robotics Engineering, the first endowment established in support of Cannabis Chemistry students at LSSU and more honors received by our Center of Freshwater Research and Education.

We really enjoy sharing the stories of the amazing things our Laker Alumni are achieving in their careers and lives. The most popular section of any Laker Log is the class notes. With another Laker Log coming out later this summer we encourage you to send us updates on you. It’s important to us that we stay in touch.

On Friday, August 6th we are organizing the 32nd Lake State Golf Classic at Wild Bluff Golf Course in Brimley, Michigan. Of course, we will be following the Covid-related restrictions in place at the time. Don’t worry if you are not a scratch golfer, even I have played in the event a couple of times. The main goal of the event is to have fun and catch up with other Lakers and friends.

Way back when either when I was a student or working at Lake State, I remember seeing the license plates the Sault Chamber of Commerce distributed with the saying: “Sault Ste. Marie, the Place to Be” on the front of vehicles. If you haven’t been back for a while, that is still the case!
