MHAC Expresses Gratitude to
Richard Van Horn for Board Tenure

Mental Health America of California (MHAC) would like to express our utmost gratitude for the leadership, advocacy, devotion, philanthropy and service Richard Van Horn has given to MHAC throughout his tenure as Mental Health America of California Board Chairperson. The most recent post as MHAC Board Chairperson was only a fraction of the contributions Richard has made to MHAC. For more than 40 years Richard’s tenacity, knowledge and wisdom have played an integral role in the perseverance and advancement of MHAC.

In the short documentary, “The Legacy of Richard Van Horn,” Richard discuss how, “we’re called to believe in all these things that are supposedly impossible, but we learn to do them anyway. We don’t give up, EVER!”

MHAC thanks Richard for applying this philosophy toward MHAC. As Richard’s role as MHAC Board Chairperson closes, we are proud to be in a position of upward momentum, stability and longevity.

Historically, The Center for Connected Health Policy (CCHP) has released twice a year (Spring and Fall) updates to its “State Telehealth Laws and Reimbursement Policies” report in the form of a PDF report document that details all the telehealth policies for all 50 states and the District of Columbia. Over the years this has evolved to include an update to CCHP’s online database of the same information. In 2021 the information in the State Telehealth Laws and Reimbursement Report has transitioned exclusively to a new and improved online database tool.
