The BCHS Class of 2021 celebrated the school's 56th annual Living Rosary on October 13. The event moved outside due to COVID-19, but the fall colors provided a lovely backdrop for this time-honored ritual honoring Mary, Queen of Heaven, and patroness of BCHS.

BCHS Christian Service Program
Bishop Chatard students complete over 20,000 service hours per year. This is made possible through a robust Christian Service Program that provides a list of service agencies and occasional service excursions that allow students to participate in service that fit their unique interests. Due to COVID-19 and current safety precautions, Christian Service commitments will look different for the 2020-2021 school year. Our hope is that the Christian Service Program can continue in its prior format for the 2021-2022 school year. Use the button below for more information or email service@bishopchatard.org with any questions.

Advertise your business in the Citadel yearbook
In years past, our Yearbook staff was able to visit many businesses to sell ads for the yearbook. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, it has limited the staff's ability to visit many of the businesses we normally rely on for advertising. The revenue we generate from ad sales is reinvested in the yearbook through the purchase of more color pages, a more intricate yearbook cover, or new equipment.

If you or your business would be interested in purchasing an ad in the yearbook, please reach out to publication advisor Troy Cockrum at tcockrum@bishopchatard.org. Those purchasing by Oct. 15 receive a 10% discount on their ad. The students can design your ad or you can design your own ad. Click here for more information!
BC Theatre stages 'Almost, Maine' as fall play
BC Theatre will stage 'Almost, Maine' Nov. 19 to 21. Written by John Cariani, the play consists of nine short plays filled with vivid characters that are all a part of a mythical and mysterious town: Almost, Maine. Each character’s story depicts themes of love, loss, and friendship in their small town.

Auditions for “Almost, Maine” will occur through video submissions. Audition forms have been sent out to students via email. More information will be provided soon.

COVID-19 student reporting procedure
If your child tests positive for COVID-19 or is quarantining due to COVID-19 exposure, please contact BCHS using the email address medical@bishopchatard.org. A list of information to be provided in that email is available on the BCHS Re-Entry webpage.

Please note that the medical@bishopchatard.org email address is to be used only to report COVID-19 positive test results or quarantining due to exposure, and report COVID-related absences. Standard school procedures should still be used to report a daily absence for COVID-19 or for other reasons, or to ask health-related questions. View Bishop Chatard's standard procedure for reporting absences here.
Free lunch and breakfast for all students
The USDA recently issued a waiver to provide all students free breakfast and lunch! All Bishop Chatard students attending in-person class may now receive complimentary breakfast and lunch in the school cafeteria. Students must select a “Meal Deal” in order for their meal to credit as free. Included with a Meal Deal lunch is any entrée/sandwich, vegetable, fruit, whole grain and milk. Up to two components can be denied, but a fruit or vegetable must be selected. Seconds are not included. Breakfast includes a whole grain, meat/meat alternative, fruit and milk. One component may be denied, but a fruit must be selected. Breakfast is served in the cafeteria daily 30 minutes before the first bell.

Assorted a la carte items, snacks and beverages will still be available for purchase during the lunch period. Please note that students will be responsible for any charges incurred outside the “Meal Deal.” Signage clarifying what is provided in the Meal Deal is displayed in the cafeteria, and students are encouraged to ask any cafeteria staff member if they have questions. Please contact Cafeteria Manager Michael Dlugosz at (317) 251-1451, ext. 2240, or mdlugosz@bishopchatard.org for more information. For more information visit www.bishopchatard.org/menus.
