Stop Medical Child Abuse Now!

On Thursday, members of the Compassion Coalition and House and Senate sponsors held a press conference urging the House Rules Committee and the Speaker of the House to bring the Vulnerable Child Compassion and Protection Act ("VCAP"- SB184) to the House floor for a vote. VCAP protects gender dysphoric children from harmful, experimental, drug therapies and surgeries for the sole purpose of changing their sexual appearance until they are 19 years of age. The Compassion Coalition is made up of 16 organizations and was created in 2019 to support the passage of VCAP.
In Alabama:
  • Some doctors are giving gender-confused children puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones to affirm their mistaken belief that they are living in the wrong body.

  • There is no medical test to confirm a diagnosis for gender dysphoria; the diagnosis is based on the child's "feelings"!

  • These drugs are not FDA approved for this purpose. They have harmful, and sometimes irreversible side effects including: preventing bone density growth, halting structural growth, and stalling brain maturation. The drugs increase risk of strokes, liver disease, blood clots, diabetes, migraines, heart disease, gallstones, and cancer.

We Have The Votes To Easily Pass VCAP
Time is running out!
It's up to House leadership to bring it to the floor. Please ask Rep Jones and Rep McCutcheon to bring VCAP to a vote immediately.

  • Contact your House Rep to reconfirm his/her "Yes" vote, thank him/her for supporting VCAP, and ask him/her to urge Rep. Jones and Rep McCutcheon to bring the bill to a vote immediately.
