Items still needed for service project

Students in the School of Grammar have started collecting items for their Day of Love Service Project.

Students will prepare hygiene bags for the homeless. The bags will then be given to a ministry that meets each Tuesday. Taco Tuesday is a ministry began by Mark & Victoria Bowling with Global Impact Ministries.

Items still needed:

deodorant
toothbrushes
toothpaste
shampoo
conditioner
chapstick. .

This week at ACA

Parents and students are invited to watch the Initiation Ceremony of the ACA chapter of the Junior Classical League, this Friday, at 1:30 p.m. at Charger's Field. Chapter members will be in togas and there will be a fire pit and snacks.

All ACA students 7-12th grade are invited to join JCL and this will enable you to participate in the Spring Convention.

Hen House Prayer Meeting: Every Thursday morning

All parents are invited to join Hen House at its weekly Prayer Meeting in Room 205A on Thursdays around 8/8:15 a.m. Hen House gathers to pray for ACA and specific needs shared by staff, teachers, and families. Do you have a Prayer Request? Please e-mail Hen House.

Front Office News

February Lunch Order form now available

Please submit your completed February lunch order by Friday, Jan. 29 to the Front Office. Students may still order on a daily basis first thing in the morning, in their classroom or at the office window. This monthly order form is for your convenience.

Need an ACA jacket? Shop online now!

ACA's online store is officially up and running. As noted in the store, orders will be processed on the 1st and 15th of every month. Orders can be delivered to the school for free or shipped by Greenhouse Outfitters. All three outwear items (sweatshirt, 1/4 zip sweatshirt, jacket) can be worn as part of the official ACA uniform.

On Jan. 29, all classes will end at 3:15 p.m. It was originally scheduled as a half-day. This will allow us to make-up time lost due to an early Christmas Break.

NEW this year: Carnations for Companions!

The latest project from Mrs. Rowland's Economics class, Carnations for Companions, is coming soon, just in time for Valentine's Day!

As part of the Performing Arts' annual Valentine's Store, carnations will be pre-sold at the store for $2 each and include a custom note. The flowers will then be delivered on Feb. 11 and 12. Order forms will also be available soon in the Front Office.

Valentine's Day is just around the corner. If you are looking for a unique way to tell your loved one how much you love them, Luminis, ACA's Show Choir will be selling Virtual Singing Valentines this year on Friday, February 14th.

Virtual Singing Valentine's can be delivered via audio, Facetime, or video message. Cost is $15.

Stuffed animals needed for Valentine's Store

The annual Performing Arts' Valentine's Store is just around the corner! Held the week leading up to Valentine's Day, the store is a huge hit with the students. Parents can purchase a gift to be delivered to their child on Friday, Feb. 12, and students are invited to buy treats and presents for their friends and family.

The top-selling items are always the stuffed animals! If you would like to donate new or gently-used stuffed animals to the annual Valentine's Store, please drop them off at the Front Office or leave them behind the glass cabinets in the Front Lobby. Contact Mrs. Rowland with any questions.

The recent Virtual Usborne Book Fair earned books for each of our Grammar teachers to refresh their class libraries. Books were selected from their wish lists and will soon be delivered to their classrooms. We are blessed by your continued support. We appreciate you!

Sophomore earns Rank 7

Congratulations to ACA 10th grader, Ruskin Bell, for earning Rank 7 in House! Ruskin serves as the Sergeant-in-arms of Falcon House.

Rank 7 is the highest rank you can earn in House. Less than 10 students total have earn Rank 7.
